Paul, I agree with what you have said and want my students to become aware of the message in the Story of Stuff.
I'd like to ask you a technical question. How did you embed the Story in your blog post. I have a steep learning curve when it comes to digital technology and would appreciate some advice.
Thanks for your comment and no problem happy to help. Actually the story of stuff is not embedded in the blog post. It just looks that way. What I actually did was opened the "Story of Stuff" web page and took a screen shot of the front page (ctrl PrtSc). Then I pasted it into powerpoint (ctrl V) cropped off all the sides and top and bottom of the screen shot and then saved the slide as a jpeg. Then I uploaded the jpeg to blogger and linked the picture of the screen capture to the "Story of Stuff" weblink. This all sounds very complicated but actually it takes longer to explain it than it does to do it. Creating jpegs in powerpoint is a very useful idea. You can do all sorts of creative things in powerpoint and then save the slides as jpegs and use them in other software.
